The 440 mod class was added because we had racers who wanted to race their sleds with pipes and studs. We have limited the studs at 2 per pitch and 3/8 INCH ABOVE THE PITCH OF THE TRACK. This is a change for safety. The 440c.c.is the size of the engine with a .040 overbore max. A smaller engine can be bored to a 440 c.c. limit. Tracks can be changed to rubber or cleated if you want, rear skids can be changed. The engine and chassis have to be 78 or older. You can run rotary or reed valves if the engine had them no add on. We are trying to keep the rules simple but open so you can have some flexibility and fun. We encourage chest protectors in all classes, but require their use in the Mod Class. We are also pacing an emphasis on track stands with as much shielding as possible to avoid accidental debris discharge. Each pit area should also have a nearby fire extinguisher available, just in case!
2 up class in place of free for all.( no trophy)
